Author guidelines

Everything you need to prepare and submit your manuscript to AJRI. Following these guidelines ensures your submission moves through screening and review without delay.

Structure

What to include, in order

  1. Title page — title, all authors with affiliations, ORCID iDs (if available), and corresponding author contact.
  2. Abstract — up to 250 words; structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions) for research articles.
  3. Keywords — 4 to 6 keywords.
  4. Main text — IMRaD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion) for original research; a logical heading structure for other types.
  5. Declarations — ethics statement, consent, conflicts of interest, funding, data availability, author contributions, acknowledgements.
  6. References — numbered in order of citation (Vancouver style preferred; APA 7 accepted if consistent).
  7. Tables & figures — cited in the text, numbered, each with a descriptive caption.
Formatting

File & style requirements

  • Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) file, A4 or US Letter.

  • 12-pt Times New Roman or 11-pt Arial, double-spaced, 1-inch (2.5 cm) margins.

  • Continuous line numbers and page numbers.

  • Figures as separate high-resolution files (PNG/TIFF/JPEG, ≥300 dpi) in addition to placement in text.

  • For double-blind review: remove author names and identifying information from the manuscript file; include them on the separate title page only.

  • SI units, standard abbreviations defined at first use, generic drug names.

All articles are immediately and permanently free to read, download and share worldwide — no subscription or paywall.

Publishing your article

AJRI is a fully open-access journal. Any applicable article processing charge is confirmed to the corresponding author in writing at the point of acceptance; fee support or waivers may be considered on request. Authors are never charged to submit or to have a manuscript reviewed.

Conference presentations

  • Oral presentation — USD $235

  • Poster presentation — USD $195
